Mana Pools National Park

Mana Pools National Park is a remote, UNESCO World Heritage Site located in northern Zimbabwe along the lower Zambezi River. Named after the four large permanent oxbow lakes ("Mana" means "four" in the local Shona language) formed by the river's historical meanders, this park is celebrated for its ethereal mahogany and winterthorn (Ana tree) forests, open river floodplains, and dramatic views of the Zambian escarpment across the river.
